CCÉ North American Concert Tour finishes at Ark in Ann Arbor, October 29th, 2000

The Crotty-Doran Branch hosted the 29th Annual CCE Concert Tour. Eighteen top musicians, singers, and dancers provided a really great evening of Irish entertainment. The group as always represents all four provinces of Ireland.

Daisy Kearney, a storyteller or seanchai was a highlight as was the break dancing flute player. Piper Paul DeButler played a few tunes and dedicated then to Al Purcell.

Details of instruments and costumes left behind in vans aside, the night went off to an enthusastic Sunday night crowd without a hitch. There was an afterglow party out at Davis Bowens house.

Thanks to all the volunteers who put the group up at their homes and made them feel welcome and taxied everyone around town. It is a tremendous amount of effort and resources to sponsor this annual event.
