Breege Kelly

Breege Kelly Gaelic teacher
Breege Kelly
served as chair of our Detroit branch for several years and has worked many years to establish the current structure of lessons, ceilis, and concert design that we still follow today. If Dan O Kennedy was the "father" of our group, Breege was the "mother".

She began ceilis down at St. Andrew's Hall on Sunday afternoons in the late 1980s, she organized music classes at Shrine with Al Purcell and Justin Manning teaching whistle, she taught Irish language classes and ceili dancing through Royal Oak Adult Education and continued to teach our language classes at the White Heather Club until she and Tom retired and moved to Oxford.

We are thrilled to be able to place her name as a person who has made a significant contribution to the success of our branch.
